MEET ACT OWNER AND PRESIDENT TYLER NELSON

Advanced Coating Technologies (ACT) is locally owned in Orlando, FL, and managed by Tyler Nelson, a longtime Central Florida resident and established business owner.

As a business owner, Tyler takes a personal approach, overseeing the job and following up himself to address customer calls and needs. In addition, he only uses the highest-quality products he believes in and knows will deliver beautiful results.  

Born in Madison, WI, ACT President Tyler Nelson moved with his family to Clearwater, FL when he was 12. He moved to Orlando, FL, to attend the University of Central Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in finance in 1993. 

Although he worked for a computer firm following graduation, Tyler decided that the 9-to-5 office routine wasn’t his style. Having previously worked in construction, he set out to analyze the market for emerging technologies and opportunities. As a result, he launched Advanced Coating Technologies in 1997.   

He first focused on residential projects, and the early success of ACT led him to expand to commercial applications in 1999. Today, Tyler is pleased that excellent word-of-mouth referrals provided by both residential and commercial clients have
fueled the steady growth of ACT. He counts among his customers an extensive list of Central Florida professionals, including doctors, attorneys, business executives, celebrity athletes and well-known home remodelers, builders and developers.
